You’re invited to attend SunPower’s Solar Partner Career Resource Day – Saturday, July 23, 10:00 am – 1:00 pm
Hello all,
SunPower Corporation is hosting a Solar Partner Career Resource Day on Saturday, July 23 from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm (Northeast Bay location TBA) in partnership with Alameda County WIB, Skyline College, and other area colleges and training providers and you are cordially invited to attend.
The event is for the students who have completed a Department of Labor grant-funded class in solar, energy efficiency, or real estate class at Skyline and have a finance, sales, design, or real estate background. During the event you’ll:
• Meet with solar company representatives
• Attend a solar industry panel discussion
• Investigate solar sales careers with Bay Area solar companies
• Have your resume critiqued by solar professionals
• Attend a solar industry panel discussion
• Explore career development and job search resources
JUST ADDED!!!! Skyline College is offering an ELEVATOR PITCH WORKSHOP for you to get ready to pitch the employers on the wonderful qualities and skills you have to offer them.
To apply for attendance please complete the following steps:
(1) Email Raya Zion, ACWIB Business Services Representative, indicating your interest in attending, by Tuesday, July 19, 2011. Her contact information is raya.zion@acgov.org and phone (510) 670-6232. In a very brief email, include the class you took, outline relevant background, and indicate your plans for the future.

(4) Optional: ELEVATOR PITCH WORKSHOP: Attend an elevator pitch workshop, hosted by Jewish Vocational Services and Skyline College’s SparkPoint Center on Thursday, July 21st in Building 1, 1218 from 4-6pm. Limited to 10 people. Preference is given to those who are selected for the recruitment fair. To attend the workshop, please send an email to Patty Kwok, SparkPoint Center Counselor at kwokp@smccd.edu or call (650) 738-7045. You will receive an email mid-next week to confirm your space in the Elevator Pitch workshop.
